It never fails; I walk in a room and all eyes are on him,
Taser, my Service Dog. Ever faithful and vigilant always there at my side
to assist me.
I found Taser online in a rural shelter, he was scheduled for euthanasia due to
his fear aggression, deemed unadoptable. In actuality he was just a big
baby who had been severely abused and in need of some tender loving care, and
some manners. I quickly learned through Diamond in the Ruff Medical Dogs
Owner Assisted Training Program that any dog can be a service dog and although
unsure at first Taser blossomed into a wonderful and obedient working
dog. Extremely intelligent and eager to not only learn but eager to
please. Training Taser myself with lessons through Diamond in the Ruff
Medical Dogs Owner Assisted Training Program has allowed Taser and I to build a
bond that no other program would have allowed.
And, no other program would have even have considered Taser as a
candidate. I have never met a more dedicated Service Dog, let alone a dog
that works as hard as Taser to overcome his fears to benefit our working
relationship.
I truly believe we saved each other. Diamond in the Ruff Medical Dogs and
I gave Taser a Second Chance at life and Taser does everything in his power now
to assist and work with me. I now have freedom, and Taser gave me that
freedom!
My life has been greatly impacted by Diamond in the Ruff Medical Dogs and their
assessment of Taser for me. They knew I wanted this type of Mutt and to
adopt a shelter dog, and they made that happen. And Diamond in the Ruff
Medical Dogs saved two lives in the process.
Thank you, and God Bless...

I was injured in a car accident which left me with several
physical limitations. I wanted to stay
mobile and knew I had to fight for it. I
contacted DITRMD I figured that maybe they would help me find a dog suitable to
help me and they did. Sammy is great!
He helps me feel whole again. I too was turned down by all the agencies down
there. I wasn’t disabled enough. Ya right, how bad do you have to be. I have major walking issues, balance issues
and sight issues too and that is not enough for them then what is. I will never be the same person again and miss
my old life but I am loving my new life with my new medical
dog by my side. He helps me with walking,
retrieval and scooter work too.

I have a physical condition not fully diagnosed by
the medical profession which mimics Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease
together. Due to this I am left with many major side effects and limitations of
both diseases. I approached all the Service Dog agencies and was turned down because
I had no definitive diagnosis. It took
me 2 years until I came across Diamond In The Ruff
Medical Dogs they said no problem they would help me and that was the
understatement of the world! They helped me train my current dog, Bear to assist
me. They helped me walk independently
with my dog a task that was a challenge for us to get in sync with at first but
now we are poetry in motion. I walk everywhere I can now. Instead of being
fearful and using my scooter I use Bear it’s beyond Great! The people there are
great, very knowledgeable, compassionate and patient too. Almost like they have been
there before. They gave me back not only my independence but
I was petrified to go anywhere in public because I knocked everything over, fell
on it or into it including people. The
trainer went into public with me showing me how to be confident and function with
my dog while doing the everyday chores we all must do. So now I do it for myself and by myself
instead of begging neighbors to do it for me.
I can’t say
thanks enough! If people only knew they wouldn’t waste time like I did. They would go nowhere else but Diamond In The Ruff Medical Dogs first not last like I did.
